Jenna (Kāi Tahu) hails from Ōtepoti and was Time Out’s longtime manager until taking over ownership in 2026. She also works as a freelance photographer.
Jenna reviews books monthly on RNZ’s Nine to Noon and fortnightly on 95bFM’s breakfast show and presented on the now retired book podcast Papercuts, on The Spinoff.
She currently sits on the boards of the Auckland Writers Festival and Auckland University Press. She has been Chair of Booksellers NZ and sat on the NZ Book Awards Trust. She was a fiction judge for the 2018 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.
A former science teacher and deputy principal, Wendy never guessed she'd own a bookstore.
She owned Time Out from 2002 until March 2026.
Wendy loves a dark read.

Rachel is both a library assistant and a bookseller,
the best of both worlds!
She has a degree in English Literature.
Pip is currently studying Art History and Media Studies at the University of Auckland. She worked in other bookstores and behind the scenes in publishing before joining the Time Out team.
Her favourites are social-realism stories, historical fiction, and books set in London.
Alongside reading, she has a keen interest in film and music.
Rhi (they/them) is a part-time bookseller, former librarian, and counselling student at AUT.
They love to read sci-fi, magical realism, horror, and queer stories. They also like drinking tea, going for bush walks, and writing soft silly poems (which they sometimes post on their Instagram).
Frances is an interdisciplinary artist and writer.
Amelie is a student at ACG Parnell and she loves to read literary fiction, classics, and horror.
Alongside reading Amelie also enjoys hiking, painting, and baking.
Lucinda is our retired cat worker. She now hides away in luxury in her Parnell dwellings. Her favourite books are New Zealand Cats(she's biased) andI Could Pee on This.
