A Real Piece of Work follows Nola McConkey, an author gaining great success after the publication of her memoir, Animal Oracle, which depicts her grief after the sudden death of her sister, Darina.

The problem is, her family isn’t happy with the book and one of them has put an annoymous complaint to her publisher. On a family trip for the fifth anniversary of Darina’s death, Freya plans to find out who the culprit is.

A novel filled wih genuinely comedic dialogue, vunerablility and big family feelings.
